NOTE:
(8th bed) We are not allowed, by the Wales Tourist Board, to advertise
the cottage as sleeping 8 people. The reason for this is because,
to achieve and maintain 5 star status, each bed, including children’s
beds, must be at least 3 feet wide, and all beds must be made up
and ready for use at all times, regardless of the number of guests
occupying the property.
One of the bedrooms is small; we call it ‘the children’s
room'. It cannot house two 3 feet-wide beds. But should guests request
it of us, we can put an eighth, narrower, bed in the room and have
it ready for your arrival. We advise against more than six adults
sharing Tywyn.
TARIFF:
is for a week, from Saturday, 4pm arrival, to the following Saturday;
(we would appreciate your arranging to leave by 10.30am, giving
us opportunity to prepare the cottage for arriving visitors).
DEPOSIT:
£100 deposit secures a booking; please send us the balance
four weeks before your arrival.
We would like you to lodge a £100 security deposit when you
arrive, which we will refund in full if all is found to be in good
and fair order after your departure.
RENTAL
INCLUDES: Unrestricted use of the cottage at all times
for the number of guests booked. All electricity, oil-fired central
heating, open fire with logs and coal, permanent hot water, bath,
three electric showers, all bed linen and towels. Use of full sized
electric cooker with oven and grill, microwave with grill, refrigerator,
deep freeze, toaster, coffee maker, four colour televisions, DVD
player, video player, two music centres, good books and guides to
the area, games and puzzles, gas barbeque, washing machine, tumble
dryer and drying area.
Access
(by arrangement) to our adjacent two-acre woodland garden with streams
and waterfalls, home to an unusual collection of mature trees, specie
rhododendrons, magnolias, azaleas, and rare, beautiful and unusual
plants, many propagated from seed collected in the Himalaya, far
East and elsewhere. The garden was one of six finalists of 3,000
entries in the RHS 'Best Garden in Britain' competition 2003.
We
offer comprehensive guidance, tailored to the requirements and abilities
of individual guests, on walks of all standards of difficulty and
length, and suggestions for driving tours using quiet, little-used
roads to peaceful, 'secret' spots.
If
guests wish, we will, on occasion, prepare very special evening
meals, cooked to an unusually high standard. The menu will be discussed
between us in advance.
We
respectfully request that you understand that the cottage is a no
smoking zone because of the sensibilities of ever-changing guests.
